Mighty Radio ('we', 'our', 'us') is committed to protecting your personal information and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect information when you use the Mighty Radio website and mobile application. We process personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
2. About Mighty Radio
Our services include live radio streaming, listener interaction, presenter messaging, competitions, event promotion, mobile applications and our public website.
Contact: info@mightyradio.net
Website: https://www.mightyradio.net
3. Information We Collect
We may collect contact information, technical device information, application version, IP address, streaming statistics, contact form submissions, listener messages, Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) registration tokens and notification preferences. Payment information is not currently collected through the mobile application.
4. Push Notifications
If you enable notifications, Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) generates a unique registration token for your device. This token is stored securely and is used only to deliver DJ show reminders, event reminders, competition alerts, station announcements and service notifications. The token is never displayed within the app and is not used for advertising. You can disable notifications at any time through the app or your device settings.
5. How We Use Your Information
We use information to operate the radio service, stream content, provide customer support, respond to enquiries, improve application performance, analyse aggregated usage, deliver notifications you have requested and maintain the security and reliability of our services.
6. Lawful Basis
Depending on the activity, we rely on consent (push notifications and optional communications), legitimate interests (operating and improving the service), contractual necessity (responding to requests where applicable) and legal obligations where required by law.
7. Third-Party Services
We use trusted providers including Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications, Google Play Services, Supabase where applicable for backend services, EmailJS or other email delivery provider for contact forms, streaming providers such as Icecast/Voscast, and hosting providers. These providers process only the information necessary to provide their services.
8. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with trusted processors, professional advisers where necessary, and public authorities where legally required.
9. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures including HTTPS encryption, secure authentication, restricted administrative access, secure cloud infrastructure and regular software updates. Although no system is completely secure, we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
10. Data Retention
We retain personal data only as long as necessary. FCM registration tokens are retained only while needed to provide notifications and may be removed when notifications are disabled, the application is uninstalled or after prolonged inactivity.
11. International Transfers
Some service providers may process data outside the United Kingdom. Where this occurs, appropriate safeguards are implemented in accordance with UK GDPR.
12. Your Rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, object, request portability and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You may also disable push notifications at any time from your device settings or within the app where available.
13. Children's Privacy
Our services are not intended for children under 13 without appropriate parental consent. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children contrary to applicable law.
14. Data Breaches
If a personal data breach occurs that presents a risk to individuals, we will respond in accordance with UK GDPR and notify the Information Commissioner's Office and affected individuals where legally required.
15. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on the Mighty Radio website and within the mobile application.
